Melt Into The Forest Heart Performances

Melt into the Forest Heart   was selected for Berenice Llorens' album, Proyecto Monte.  Berenice is a sound artist from Cordoba, Argentina, where she is an strong advocate for forest preservation and environmental protection.  Berenice writes that Proyecto Monte is a compilation "featuring experimental music, electronic, soundscapes, noise, and field recordings, aimed at raising funds to combat the ongoing forest fires across Latin America."    She goes on to describe the intent of the album:

For this first edition, the compilation will specifically support
independent organizations and brigades working in Córdoba, where there are
currently three major fire outbreaks devastating the area. All funds raised
will go directly to the forest brigades network and the *BOC* (Base
Operativa Comunitaria), who are working on the ground to fight these fires.

So far this year, over 40,000 hectares of native forest have been destroyed
by fire. This devastation is not only due to climate change but also the
capitalist system, real estate interests, and governmental cuts in
environmental policies and fire management, all while denying the climate
crisis.

The impact is significant, affecting not only the forests but also the
wildlife and flora, as well as local communities. Many are working
tirelessly to prevent the fires from spreading further.

I was honored to have Melt into the Forest Heart selected in that it represents my feelings about the gifts forests in my life have provided me.  (Track #10)
